Solo Leveling tops One Piece, Fortnite rumors swarm social media

The anime adaptation of beloved Manhwa Solo Leveling recently made headlines after surpassing One Piece on Crunchyroll, making it the most popular anime on the streaming platform. Moreover, according to renowned leakers on social media, rumor has it that the franchise might be coming to Fortnite. 

Fortnite leakers Shepshal Nick and FNBRintel initiated the rumors on Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter) without giving any further details about whether Solo Leveling’s arrival to the popular battle royale will only feature skins or an all-new event.

Nonetheless, fans of the franchise expressed their excitement about the possible crossover while others weren’t so keen about the move. A social media user on X wrote, “NOOOO, WE DO NOT WANT THIS.”

In response, another user wrote, “Yes we do!”

Solo Leveling tops One Piece on Crunchyroll

By the time of reporting, the anime adaptation of the popular Korean Manhwa officially surpassed One Piece in rating on the popular anime streaming platform, Crunchyroll. It currently holds the most-rated medal, sitting on 595,493 reviews, in comparison to One Piece which garnered 599,731.

According to Anime x News and the CEO of Line WEBTOON, Solo Leveling’s anime has been a huge success. The series opened the door for 20 more Manhwa (Korean comics) adaptations.

Manhwa fans expressed their excitement about their favorite titles getting an anime with titles like The Boxer, Hero has Returned, The Mercenary, and many more being the top choice.

On the contrary, similar claims were made when Manhwa such as Tower of God and God of High School received anime adaptations but didn’t pick up as expected.

The Solo Leveling anime is animated by one of Japan’s top animation studios, A-1 Pictures which is best known for producing titles such as Mashle, Lycoris Recoil, Anohana, Your Lie In April, Erased, Sword Art Online, 86 Eighty-Six and many more.
