Saudi man arrested for feeding his camel a banknote(Video)
A video depicting an individual feeding a camel a banknote from the Saudi riyal has stirred controversy on social media platforms, prompting calls for Saudi authorities to take action.
The man appears in the video as he presents a banknote, reportedly worth 500 Saudi riyals, to the camel, which mistakenly believed it to be food.
According to reports, the General Security’s account on X-Twitte previously(security_gov) announced that law enforcement in Al-Dawadmi Governorate, situated in the Riyadh region, had apprehended a person for intentionally damaging currency in visual content.
However, the identity of the man was not disclosed.
Earlier, the Saudi Public Prosecution had clarified that the punishment for tearing, damaging, or altering currency features could entail imprisonment for up to 5 years and a fine of up to 10,000 riyals.
