YouTuber Ms Rachel faces backlash over Gaza support

Popular educational YouTuber Ms Rachel has been under constant backlash from Israeli social media users and organizations after she used her platform to address the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and call for a ceasefire.

Ms Rachel first sparked backlash among followers when she flooded her socials with posts speaking out for the children suffering in Gaza. While pro-Israeli social media users criticized her stance, pro-Palestinian activists commended the content creator for speaking up against the humanitarian crisis in the Strip.

In April, her stance prompted a pro-Israel group called “StopAntisemitism” to urge the DoJ (United States Department of Justice)  to launch a federal investigation against the children’s content creator.

The New York Times recently sparked outrage among human rights activists for framing her as a “controversial” content creator for advocating for the children in Gaza and raising money for them.

Many took to Ms Rachel’s defense, stating that she’s trying to protect innocent children from being killed by voicing her stance using her powerful presence on social media.

A social media user wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “all she said is she didn’t want children to starve and the american press is accusing Ms Rachel of being hamas. america has no journalism, it has propaganda outlets.”

Despite facing criticism, the content creator still posts about Gaza and recently went on an interview with Zeteo Media explaining why she “won’t stay silent on Gaza.”

During the interview, Ms Rachel told British-American broadcaster and writer, Mehdi Hasan, “I think it should be controversial to NOT say anything.”

She added, “Our compassion doesn’t have boundaries or borders. We just love kids.”

Her recent Instagram post issued a message to the world leaders with a photo of a malnourished Palestinian child, urging them to take immediate action against Israel to prevent the innocent child from dying from hunger.

She wrote, “Dear World Leaders,

You need to not let this baby die. She is so weak she can’t even cry! Please, please, please help her.”
