Tony Sawaya, Lebanese hairdresser, dies

Tony Sawaya, a Lebanese hairdresser, died suddenly in Lebanon on Monday, ET Arabic reported on Tuesday. 

The reason behind the hairdresser’s death was not revealed yet nor details about the funeral.

Tony Sawaya is well-known for being a hairstylist for many Arab female stars including Nancy Ajram, Syrian singer Asala, Maya Diab and Najwa Karam.

It is worth noting that, the Lebanese hairdresser has a beauty salon in Lebanon’s capital Beirut. The salon is located in Beirut Verdun Dunes Center Ground Floor.

Lebanese singer Maya Diab, who also collaborated with Tony Sawaya, expressed her sadness and shock after hearing the news of his death.

She took to her Instagram account and wrote: “No, I did not know that this was the last picture of us… I was happy with your heart and I was afraid for you.”

The Lebanese singer posted her last picture with the Lebanese hairdresser and added: “I told you, you lost so much weight and please take care of yourself, but you didn’t and you left us.”
