Saudi, Luxembourgian foreign ministers discuss situation in Gaza
The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisel bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed the situation in Gaza over phone with Luxembourg’s Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Sunday reported.
The Saudi foreign minister praised Luxembourg’s support for the recent United Nations resolution urging a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza in accordance with international law and norms, SPA said.
The two ministers have underlined the need for the international community to fulfill its role in bringing an immediate ceasefire that ensures full protection for civilians, SPA added.
They also stressed the need to facilitate aid delivery to ease Gaza’s deepening crisis.
On Wednesday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged for immediate action to be taken for a Gaza ceasefire in a call with US President Joe Biden.
