How Taylor Swift celebrated her birthday in New York City
Taylor Swift turned 34 on Dec. 13, and she celebrated her birthday with her friends in New York City.
The pop star, who recently released her re-recorded version of her 2012 album Red, wore a $2K little black dress as she partied with Blake Lively at a nightclub. She also had a cozy dinner with Selena Gomez and Miles Teller the night before, and surprised her fans with the streaming release of her Eras Tour concert film.

Swift was spotted in a little black dress from the fashion brand Clio Peppiatt, which went viral after ‘The White Lotus’ characters wore the designer’s dresses. The Lucina Embellished Stretch-mesh black mini dress, which currently retails for $2,335, features cloud, moon and star motifs that sparkle under the lights. Swift paired the dress with black heels and a matching purse, and wore her hair in a sleek ponytail.
The singer was joined by her longtime friend Blake Lively, who also opted for a black ensemble. The Gossip Girl actress wore a black leather dress with a high slit, and completed the look with knee-high Louboutin boots and a silver clutch. The two friends looked stunning as they arrived at The Box nightclub in Manhattan, where they were greeted by paparazzi photographers who sang happy birthday to Swift. The birthday girl smiled and linked arms with Lively as they entered the venue.
Taylor Swift Has Dinner with Selena Gomez, Miles Teller and More
The night before her birthday, Swift had a more intimate celebration with some of her other celebrity pals. She headed out for dinner with Selena Gomez, Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry Teller at Zero Bond, a private members club in New York. Swift and Gomez, who have been friends for over a decade, hugged and posed for photos outside the restaurant. Gomez later took to her Instagram Story to wish Swift a happy birthday, writing, “Happy birthday to the goddess that is @taylorswift. I love you.”
Miles Teller, who co-starred with Swift in the 2014 film The Giver, also shared a sweet tribute to the singer on his Instagram Story. He posted a photo of him and his wife with Swift, and wrote, “Happy birthday @taylorswift. You’re a legend. Thanks for always being so kind.”
Taylor Swift Gifts Fans with Eras Tour Concert Film Streaming Release
As a birthday present to her fans, Swift also made her Eras Tour concert film available to rent on Amazon Prime starting Dec. 13. The film, which documents Swift’s 2023–2024 concert tour in support of her discography, premiered in theaters earlier this fall and broke records as the highest-grossing domestic concert film ever. The film features performances of songs from all nine of Swift’s studio albums, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.
The streaming version of the film includes three new songs that were not shown in theaters: “Long Live”, “The Archer” and “Wildest Dreams”.
Swift announced the news on her social media, writing, “I wanted to give you a birthday present. The Eras Tour movie is now available to rent on Amazon Prime. It has 3 additional songs from the show that weren’t in the theatrical release. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed reliving the memories.”
