Why Victoria Beckham is stepping out at fashion week with crutches

Victoria Beckham is not letting a broken foot stop her from showcasing her latest collection at Paris Fashion Week.

The fashion designer, 49, was spotted leaving her hotel on crutches on Friday, March 1, 2024, ahead of her Autumn/Winter 2024 show later that evening.

Beckham revealed that she injured her foot in a gym accident on Valentine’s Day last month, posting a photo of her foot with a pack of ice on it on X (formerly Twitter). Her husband, David Beckham, later shared that it was a “clean break” and that she had to wear a medical boot.

Despite the setback, Beckham managed to turn her crutches into a chic accessory, wearing an all-black ensemble that matched her crutches. She also wore sunglasses and had her hair in loose curls.

Beckham was joined by her family, who came to support her at the fashion show. Her eldest son, Brooklyn, 24, brought his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, 29, who sparked rumors that she might be walking in her mother-in-law’s show after wearing the same Dolce & Gabbana leather biker jacket that Beckham wore in 2001.

Beckham’s show was briefly interrupted by PETA protesters, who stormed the catwalk with signs that read “Viva vegan leather” and “Animals aren’t fabric”. Beckham did not comment on the incident, but later closed her show on crutches with a kiss for her husband.

The couple, who have been married for 25 years, have been facing speculation that they are living separate lives, as David has been spending more time in Miami, where he owns a soccer team, while Victoria stays in London with their four children. However, the pair have denied the rumors and have shown their love for each other on social media.
