What’s the story of the “Pearl Earring” in Turkey’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
As scheduled, a new episode of “Kim Milyoner Olmak İster?” or “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” has aired last night on September 3, 2023 on ATV, hosted by Turkey’s handsome actor Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, 49.
During the episode, one particular question has become viral on social media, it even topped today’s most searched topics on Google Turkey.
The question of the “Pearl Earring”
“Who wants to be a millionaire?” latest episode has been aired on ATV channel on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Throughout yesterday’s episode, host of the show Kenan İmirzalıoğlu asked the contestant about the girl wearing pearl earrings depicted in Johannes Vermeer’s famous painting.
After the show, viewers were curious to know the answer, so they started looking here and there on the Internet.
The question was:
“Which statement is true about the girl with a pearl earring that Johannes Vermeer portrayed in his famous painting The Girl with a Pearl Earring?”
Then, Kenan İmirzalıoğlu presented 4 options as follows:
A- Right ear visible, left ear invisible
B- Left ear visible, right ear invisible
C- Both right ear and left ear visible
D- Neither right ear nor left ear invisible
The correct answer was actually option B, Left ear visible, right ear invisible.

About “Kim Milyoner Olmak İster?” or “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”
Who wants to be a millionaire? It is an informative Turkish competition show, signed by Sera Film Services and broadcast on ATV since August 2,2011. Presented by Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, it is published on Tuesday and Sunday evenings at 20:00.
Since Kenan Işık, the first presenter of the competition, had a brain hemorrhage on March 21, 2014 and could not present the program, it was presented by many famous friends, respectively until the end of the season. Later, Selçuk Method hosted the program for 3 years. Murat Yıldırım then hosted the program from February 2017 to June 2019. Since October 5, 2019, Kenan İmirzalıoğlu has been the presenter of the program.
