A wedding ceremony took place within the Muhammad Ali Mosque in Cairo, causing a significant stir in Egyptian society. This event, complete with dance and music, unfolded within the confines of the mosque, situated within Salah Al Din Castle. 

A video clip capturing the festivities quickly circulated on social media, showcasing attendees dancing to the beats of a DJ, and some women not wearing head coverings, raising concerns about the apparent disregard for the religious sanctity of the venue.

The occurrence of such activities within a mosque, a place revered for worship and religious reflection, elicited sharp criticism from social media users.

Many viewed it as disrespectful, underlining that mosques are sacred houses of God primarily designated for worship and not intended for non-traditional celebrations or dancing.

In response to this incident, there were calls for legal action to be taken against the event organizers, alleging a violation of the mosque’s sanctity.

However, as of now, there have been no official statements or updates regarding potential legal proceedings.
