Trump says over 100 mln barrels of oil have passed through Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said over 100 million barrels of crude had passed through the Straits of Hormuz as part of what he called a secret US mission to support oil tankers.

“More than 200 Commercial Ships have safely traveled through the Strait,” he said in a post on Truth Social.

Earlier in the day, Trump also revealed that the US had been secretly taking out “millions of barrels of oils” from Iran.

“Now that they figured it out, I can tell you… I wanted to say it so badly, I didn’t want to ruin it, but it was very hard,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “And that’s why it’s at $85-90 a barrel, instead of $250,” he added.
