In celebration of the new year, we will be listing our top upcoming anime for Winter 2024 as there are plenty of shows to look forward to this season. From an adaptation of Korea’s best webtoon to a fantasy anime about cooking weird but mouth-watering dishes, this list’s got it all!

1) Solo Leveling
A-1 Pictures
Solo Leveling is the most anticipated anime of the season and for a good reason with more than 200k users waiting for its release on My Anime List since it’s adapted from one of South Korea’s best Webtoons by the same name.
The show is in good hands as A-1 Pictures will be responsible for its production and animation which is best known for works such as Sword Art Online, Erased, Your Lie in April, and more!
Solo Leveling tells the story of a weak 20-year-old Sung Jin-Woo in a world of gifted hunters who have to protect humanity from “the Gate” which appeared 10 years ago. Sung Jin-Woo enters a mysterious program that grants him extraordinary powers.
Follow Jin Woo as he becomes the strongest hunter and rises to the top as he conquers one dungeon after the other.

2) Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2
A-1 Pictures
Mashle is back for a second season by A-1 Pictures.
Muscles and weightlifting meet magic, That’s what Mashle is all about. This anime doesn’t reinvent the wheel or add anything new to the formula but it’s one heck of a fun and bingeworthy show!
It tells the story of a world where people use magic casually, Mash Burnedead is a boy living in a deep dark forest with one secret, he can’t use magic!
Although he wants a quiet life with his family, people find out about his secret and suddenly start trying to kill him which forces Mash into enrolling in a school for magic, as he sets his sights on becoming a “Divine Visionary,” the elite of the elite.
According to Aniplex, The anime will pick up from where season 1 left us and will cover The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc
Expect Mashle Season 2 on Jan. 6, 2024.

3) Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen
Ao no Exorcist (also known as Blue Exorcist) is finally back after a six-year-long wait.
The anime will be getting a change in studios as VOLN will be replacing A-1 pictures for animation and production which are best known for Ushio To Tora, Karakuri Circus, and the stunning yet sad movie I Want To Eat Your Pancreas.
Blue Exorcist season 3 will continue where the second season left off and cover events from the Shimane Illuminati Saga unlike season 1 which took matters into its own hands and wasn’t faithful to the manga.
Expect this anime on Jan. 7, 2024.

4) Delicious in Dungeon
Our most anticipated anime on the list!
From its name, Delicious in Dungeon follows the story of a group of adventurers who happen to break the taboo by cooking up a storm of monsters they hunted as they embark on a terrifying journey to save their friend from a cursed kingdom that is buried.
The series will be animated by the only Studio Trigger and has a very charming and unique drawing style going for it hence why it’s our most anticipated anime of the season!
Expect Delicious in Dungeon on Jan. 4, 2024.

5) BUCCHIGIRI?!

Mappa’s first original anime in a long time. The show looks like it’ll have Mappa’s insane animation production, a wacky yet entertaining story about delinquents, and a unique style that goes hand in hand with the crazy storyline.
According to My Anime List, Bucchigiri’s story is as follows:
“Arajin Tomobishi gets caught up in battles among powerful individuals after reuniting with his former friend Matakara Asamine. Meanwhile, the shadow of a colossal demon appears…?!”
Expect BUCCHIGIRI?! on Jan. 13, 2024.
