Tom Cruise’s agent Maha Dakhil steps down from CAA after accusing Israel of genocide
Maha Dakhil, CAA agent of Hollywood A-listers, had to resign from her position in the internal board as the co-head of the motion picture department at Creative Artists Agency, after show voiced her solidarity to the Palestinian cause and stood with the people of the Gaza Strip against the Zionist occupation and the genocide it committed since the beginning of Al-Aqsa Flood operation, and 7 decades before that.
Maha Dakhil attacks Israel
Maha Al-Dakhil’s crisis began after she re-shared a statement from an account called “Free Palestine” which highlighted the terrorist attacks on the Gaza Strip at the hands of the Israeli occupation.
The ‘Free Palestine’ statement said: “You’re learning who supports genocide.”
And Maha reposted it and wrote: “That’s the line for me. What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening.”
She then deleted both posts from her account.
According to Variety magazine, Maha will continue to work with her clients and colleagues at CAA despite her resignation, as she represents a group of stars including Tom Cruise, Natalie Portman, Madonna, Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, and Olivia Wilde, while she will spend time getting private lessons about the “conflict” between Israel and Hamas.
Maha Al-Dakhil apologizes for her posts
Maha revealed to a source that she made a mistake by re-sharing the post on Instagram stories, in which she used hurtful language.
She said: “I made a mistake with a repost in my Instagram Story, which used hurtful language. Like so many of us, I have been reeling with heartbreak. I pride myself on being on the side of humanity and peace,”
Dakhil added: “I’m so grateful to Jewish friends and colleagues who pointed out the implications and further educated me. I immediately took the repost down. I’m sorry for the pain I have caused.”
Has Maha Dakhil been silenced?
On the other hand, one of Maha’s relatives revealed that they silenced her because she stood against the genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation against the people of the Gaza Strip, saying: “My cousin Maha, Co head of Motion Pictures at CAA is being silenced for standing up against genocide. Keep in mind they control the narrative & are silencing everyone. I am very proud of her speaking up for Palestine despite working in rooms full of very powerful Zionists.”
