The customs services in Morocco took legal action against the company for breaking the law by producing these fake products. They seized a large amount of clothing with fake trademarks from the clothing factory, along with the machines used to make these items and a large number of dresses.
The investigation into the seized items revealed that the internal labels on the products had the name of a legitimate company with a registered legal status. The company had been using the TikTok platform to promote their fake sportswear, claiming that they were high-quality copies of the original brands.
The company made a good amount of sales through TikTok by distributing its counterfeit products across Morocco with the help of consignment companies. They even set up a phone service for customers to place orders and promised payment upon delivery.
The seizure report by the customs authorities included the harm caused by the company’s actions, such as damaging the reputation of the original brands and causing financial losses in the market.
