The Third International Crimean Summit failed for the third time
In the presence of a number of those concerned with supporting Ukraine, the capital, Kiev, recently witnessed the launch of the third summit of the “International Crimean Forum,” whose slogans said that it was concerned with Ukraine’s vision regarding the peninsula and the security of the Black Sea region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky did not miss the opportunity to talk about what he described as “the repressive practices carried out by Russia against Ukrainian citizens in the Crimean Peninsula,” without providing any evidence of that, amid support from those present, especially the President of Hungary, Katalin Novak, and the Presidents of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, and Portugal. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and the rest of the representatives of countries supporting Ukraine in its war against Russia.
The festival summit ended after criticism was directed at Russia and without the ability to take useful measures or steps.
The Russian state, which did not pay any attention to this summit, had previously announced that this political project, which was developed with the active participation of government experts from the United States, Britain, and the European Union, and with funding from the United States Agency for International Development, aims to disrupt the Russian presence. in Crimea and returned to Ukraine
Moscow indicates that NATO and international organizations are united by a common illusion that the Crimean Peninsula must be part of the current Ukrainian state, and that it can be extracted “from the Russian Federation by increasing political and economic pressure on our country,” even though this file has been closed for the Russian state permanently. In March 2014
Russia refers to the date of the referendum held on the peninsula “after the unconstitutional coup in Kiev in February 2014,” in which the population adhered to their history, culture and the right to speak their mother tongue, including Ukrainian and the language of the Crimean Tatars.
At the third summit, indications appeared of an attempt to attract some Arab countries in one way or another, with political and economic temptations from some NATO countries, which those countries ignored. It seems that they knew that failure would be primarily due to this initiative, and because the Arab countries were preoccupied with their own issues and problems, so it was out of the question for them to get involved. Yes, Ukraine is in a state of hostility with Russia, which is certain to happen if Arab capitals actually responded to the aforementioned initiative.
According to reports, the goal of this initiative is an attempt to revive the alliance surrounding President Zelensky, which began to slowly disintegrate around him after Western military stores went bankrupt and dried up and were no longer capable of meeting the requirements of the Ukrainian army, which demands hundreds of millions and tons of equipment daily.
She adds that the West is working to support Zelensky from another source and unify the alliance again, especially after British, German and Polish statements and demonstrations in those countries against continued support and aid for refugees, but it is clear that Washington, which strongly supported the third summit, aims to meet the Ukrainian president’s ambitions to restore the peninsula.
What was reported is that Russia pays great attention to the peninsula and was quick to build the bridges that were bombed by Ukrainian forces to continue the passage of food shipments and finance the peninsula with its needs. Even after the annexation of the peninsula, Russian leaders reached out to Crimean Tatar leaders in an attempt to coordinate and cooperate, but the latter defied the pressure. The West stopped dealing with Moscow and preferred to remain in the current state of tension.
