Suspect behind the Saif Ali Khan stabbing revealed

 Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is once again the talk of the internet after new details emerged about his recent stabbing incident in Mumbai, India. 

Khan was stabbed six times trying to protect his family by an intruder who tried to enter his apartment. New reports from local sources have emerged claiming that the suspect in question is a man from Bangladesh named Shariful Islam Shehzad who moved to Mumbai four months ago.

He was arrested and put in temporary jail for several days by Mumbai police after making a Google Pay transaction to get breakfast at a restaurant he works in, further notifying authorities of his whereabouts. Local Police claim that Shehzad has been on the run after reports indicated that he was moving across several parts of Mumbai.

Residing at the house with Khan was his wife and fellow Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, accompanied by their three children.

The attack on Saif Ali Khan occurred last week, Thursday when Shehzad entered his building from another compound and made his way up 12 floors through an air conditioning duct until he reached Khan’s apartment. While Saif Ali Khan’s family didn’t disclose information about the incident, his team announced that it was due to attempted burglary.

The doctor operating on Khan in Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital told BBC that out of the six stabs Saif Ali Khan received, two were deep, with one being close to the spine. On the contrary, while he got stabbed in a dangerous place, the doctor claims that Khan is out of danger and is recovering well from his injuries.

The suspect’s identity sparked outrage across social media as users took to several platforms and expressed their anger about the issue at hand.

One user wrote on Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter), “This is truly concerning… They have identities, jobs, and are living here without any issues.”

Another added, “Most concerning. Recently, a Bangladeshi national with the fake name “Riya Barde” real name “Banna Shaikh” a porn star, was also arrested by Maharashtra Police for illegally staying in India.”
