Ryan Reynolds leaks his own hilarious Deadpool 3 spoiler
Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds has dropped his own hilarious ‘leak’ from the set. The actor posted an image on Twitter that showed himself and Hugh Jackman having a pleasant chat with a Predator.
The image is obviously fake, but it’s a clever way for Reynolds to poke fun at the recent leaks that have been plaguing the production of the upcoming Deadpool sequel. Reynolds captioned the image with a reference to the original leak that helped get the first Deadpool movie made back in 2016.
“Deadpool began with a leak,” he wrote. “So I’m joining in. But please don’t overuse the phrase, ‘Deadpool leaks’ because it might screw up search results if anyone is looking for Deadpool leaks or Deadpool spoilers or perhaps, Deadpool scoops.”
Reynolds followed up his tweet with another one showing him taking a bag of cash from Disney, the new owners of the Deadpool franchise after acquiring 20th Century Fox. The image is a nod to the fact that Deadpool 3 will be the first movie in the series to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is also owned by Disney.
Reynolds has been vocal about his desire to keep the Deadpool movies as R-rated and irreverent as possible, even under the Disney umbrella. He has also expressed his frustration with the constant spoilers that have been leaking from the set of Deadpool 3, which is currently filming in the UK.
“Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready,” he said in a previous tweet. “The film is built for audience joy – and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen.”
Deadpool 3 is expected to feature some familiar faces from the previous movies, as well as some new ones from the Marvel universe. One of the confirmed newcomers is Dogpool, a canine version of Deadpool that Reynolds revealed in an Instagram post.
The film is slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2024, making it the only MCU movie to be released that year. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Deadpool will fit into the larger Marvel world, and what kind of jokes and references he will make along the way.
