‘RIP Dave Myers’: Fans mourn star of The Hairy Bikers
English television presenter Dave Myers died aged 66, two years after being diagnosed with cancer, BBC reported on Thursday.
His death was revealed by motorcycle-riding chef, Si King, who revealed that he was with Myers when he passed away “peacefully at home” on Feb. 28.
Myers was mainly known for being a star in The Hairy Bikers, in which both; Myers and King, travel around the United Kingdom and worldwide on their motorbikes, sampling and cooking food from various places.
Si King revealed: “I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime.”
On the official X account, Hairy Bikers announced the death of Dave Myers and wrote: “Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment. My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can’t follow. I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime. I wish you god’s speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world. See you on the other side. Love ya.”
Si King added: “May I ask you all for one further kindness and allow Lili, his wife, his family, close friends and I some time and some peace to process our huge loss. I am sure I will see you all soon.”
