Pro-Israelis attack Alo following Bella Hadid Campaign

Pro-Israelis under StopAntisemitsm slammed American sportswear brand Alo for featuring Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid in its new campaign.

Pro-Israel groups have constantly accused Bella Hadid of being “Anti-Israel” for being vocal about her support for Palestine and the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which resulted in the killing of over 73,000 Palestinians and the injuring of more than 174,000 others since October 2023, aside from those missing under the rubble.

Neither Bella Hadid nor Alo has responded to the criticism.

ELLE reported that Bella is now the new face of Alo’s “pre-fall campaign,” which includes the Airlift Rebel Bra and High-Waist 7/8 Rebel Leggings. The campaign was shot in Los Angeles, and Alo took to Instagram with a post featuring the model, writing, “The deeper your roots, the higher you rise.”

Alo’s new campaign garnered widespread praise from pro-Palestine activists who took to social media, stating that they will support the American brand for featuring Bella:

“Will be buying for the 1st time because I love Bella Hadid.”

“Sounds like a company I’d like to support!”

“Ohhhh a brand I can wear proudly…. I LOVE IT!!!”

Bella Hadid frequently takes to social media to advocate for Palestinian rights by calling for humanitarian aid. She’s also outspoken about her Palestinian roots and has several posts about it on Instagram.

Two years ago, she took to Insatgram with a post featuring a Palestinian Keffiyeh-themed dress and wrote, “Palestine on my mind, in my blood and on my heart. Always… While I still have to go to work, even through this horror, to wear our culture makes me a proud Palestinian & I want the world to continue to see Palestine, wherever we go.”

“If you don’t know what’s happening right now in Gaza, watch my stories (and find other accounts leading to Palestinians on the ground)  and please educate yourself on the on going occupation and genocide that is happening RIGHT NOW in Gaza. Do not be desensitized to the horror that is being endured by the Palestinian people. (Go to my highlights of 2024).”
