What happened to Imane Khelif at the Paris Olympics?
Claims about her being transgender started after she defeated Italian boxer Angela Carini at the Paris Olympics who later apologized for not shaking Khelif’s hand and quitting only 46 seconds into the bout.
The athlete then got targeted across social media from users and well-known figures alike causing her to cry during an interview and to file a lawsuit against specific individuals who falsely claimed that she’s a transgender man.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling were both named in a cyberbullying lawsuit made against them by Algerian boxer and Olympic gold medalist Imane Khelif.
This comes after both individuals and many others including former US President Donald Trump claimed that Imane Khelif is a transgender male competing against women at the Olympics causing a swarm of hateful comments made against her across social media platforms.
