The monthly Shonen magazine of Kodansha Comics officially announced that the beloved manga by Adachitoka Noragami Stray God is ending in January 2024.
The manga follows the story of Yato, a homeless god who helps people out by doing odd jobs for a small fee of 1 Japanese yen.
On his journey of helping people, Yato meets a lost spirit called Yukine and Hiyori, a human who can traverse between the human and spirit worlds after a life-threatening accident she faced while helping Yato.

Studio Bones
Noragami was serialized by Kodansha Comics in 2010 and garnered a big dedicated fan base resulting in an anime adaptation by the one and only Studio Bones (best known for Fullmetal Alchemist and My Hero Academia).
The final volume is yet to be announced by Kodansha as a compiled book since Japanese manga is first released via chapters through a series of magazines instead.
According to Anime News Network, Noragami entered its final arc in June 2022.
Kodansha / Adachitoka
Adachitoka’s manga inspired a two-season anime by Studio Bones with season one released in the Winter of 2014 and the sequel that goes by Noragami Aragato following in the Fall of 2015. Noragami also received two stage plays in January 2016, and February 2017.
Studio Bones did an excellent job in adapting the anime for its stunning animation production, catchy opening songs, and who could forget the funny shenanigans of the trio, Yato, Hiyori, and Yukine?
We are still waiting in hopes of it receiving a third season but it has been a whopping eight years since Studio Bones animated the second season.
Both seasons can be watched on Crunchyroll here.
