Myriam Fares calls Libya’s Daniel Storm a ‘Nightmare’
Two days after Morocco’s powerful earthquake, Libya was hit with a deadly Storm Daniel which killed 150 people so far, Lebanese Singer Myriam Fares expressed sympathy with the people in both countries.
In an X post, Myriam Fares expressed her shock learning the news of natural disasters taking place in different countries in the Middle East affecting hundreds of thousands.
The Lebanese artist wrote: “What is this nightmare that accompanied us these two days? Our hearts are with the Libyan people in these difficult times. May God have mercy on the victims and a speedy recovery for the wounded. ”
In a previous post shared on September 9, Myriam Fares shared her thoughts regarding the deadly earthquake that killed over 2,100 people in Morocco and injured more than 2,400 others.
A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Morocco shortly after 11 p.m. local time on Friday night. Rescue operations are still ongoing as many countries offered help and sent aid to the stricken country.
Many Arab singers, actors and artists showed support to the victims of the deadly earthquake including Assi El Hallani, Mahmoud Nsr, Haifa Wahbi and Myriam Fares.
Fares posted: “The cruelty of the scenes breaks the heart. May God have mercy on all the victims of the Morocco earthquake and help the survivors.”
