“Miss Artificial Intelligence” Contest set to launch
As hard as it would have been to believe something like this could be happening few years ago, the world might soon be gearing up towards its first-ever “Miss Artificial Intelligence” competition, overseen by a panel of influential figures in the field.
Organized by Fanvue, the rules of the competition have been revealed to the public, with judging criteria focusing on beauty, social media influence, and the use of AI tools by designers taking place in the competition.
Fanvue’s co-founder, Will Monag, imagines the competition as the “Oscars for AI creators.” Contestants are required to submit a photo of a woman generated by artificial intelligence.
They would then be expected to answer some questions aimed at gauging their aspirations for making the world a better place, and technical details about the AI used in creating the sent photo.
The judging panel will be made up of people like Aitana Lopez, known for her large Instagram following, along with British historian Sally Anne Fawcett, and public relations consultant Andrew Bloch. Attention will be paid to specific details around the eyes and hands, areas where some AI image generators struggle.
The winner of the competition, to be announced at an online awards ceremony in May, will receive a grand prize of $5000 in cash, along with a “special creativity mentorship program” valued at $3000. Fanvue aims to celebrate the intersection of beauty, technology, and creativity through this very unusual event.
