High sales and the support of Macklemore’s fans—particularly those who agreed with his stance on current events—helped propel “Hind’s Hall” to the top of the Billboard charts, where it earned good money.
This week, Macklemore peaked on three different Billboard charts, with “Hind’s Hall” propelling the rapper to the top of several lists.
Luminate reports that McLemore’s “Hind’s Hall” sold 6,773 copies in its first week of release. McLemore has announced that he will donate a portion of the proceeds from his current CD to organizations that aid Palestinian refugees.
In solidarity with Palestine and Gaza, Macklemore released a revolutionary song called “HIND’S HALL.” It became an instant hit, reaching 25 million views in under 24 hours.
Throughout the song, McLemore lauded the American college students who are demonstrating against the Israeli invasion of Gaza and have promised not to support President Joe Biden in the next November US elections.
In addition to politicians who support Israel, Macklemore slammed the cops who helped disperse university rallies.
