Jerry’s response to the activist generated various reactions on social media. Several users condemned Seinfeld, while others defended the comedian and respected his stance.
One user on Musk’s X wrote, “Palestine is much older than 16 years old so it makes sense why Seinfeld doesn’t care for it.”
Another added, “What he means is he doesn’t care about occupation or children, women, and men being killed by Israel.”
According to an Instagram post he shared back in 2023, the comedian claims to have worked in Israel in his teens while showcasing his pro-Israel stance during the 15-month Gaza war between Israel and Hamas.
He wrote, “I lived and worked on a Kibbutz in Israel when I was 16 and I have loved our Jewish homeland ever since. My heart is breaking from these attacks and atrocities. But we are also a very strong people in our hearts and minds.”
Israel’s aggression on Gaza during the 15 months resulted in the killing of at least 48,000 Palestinians and injuring more than 110,000, according to the Ministry of Health. Additionally, the UN claims that the war also caused at least 50 million tonnes of rubble which is roughly 12 times the size of Egypt’s Pyramids of Giza.
