After copping the title, a prerecorded video of Speed was shared of him thanking fans for the support, where he said, “What’s up, y’all? It’s Speed here, and we have won the Streamer of the Year award! I want to give a huge thanks to everybody who voted for me.”
He added, “I want to give a huge thanks to my fans. I want to give a huge thanks to anybody who supported me, and I love y’all. And also, y’all know how much I work hard for y’all every single year, to give y’all the best content, the best streams!”

The 20-year-old’s most memorable moment this year was definitely his live-streaming tour in China, where he visited several cities, including Beijing, Chongqing, and Shenzhen. During his weeks-long trip, Speed met several local celebrities and interacted with many locals, which helped put China’s tourism on the map.
IShowSpeed was nominated for the Esports Streamer Awards last year. However, he lost against Mexican Twitch streamer Samanta “Rivers” Rivera Trevino.
