Former Kanye West bodyguard accuses him of racism, files lawsuit
Controversial American rapper Kanye West is once again the talk of the internet after his former bodyguard filed a lawsuit against him for unfair treatment and discrimination towards black workers.
The bodyguard in question is Benjamin Deshon Provo, he worked with Kanye West in several locations including his Yeezy warehouse and private school Donda Academy. In the lawsuit, Benjamin claimed that Kanye discriminated against the individual and laid him off refusing to trim his dreadlocks which he had for religious purposes.

The dreadlocks were a symbol of the Islamic faith. Additionally, the lawsuit included actions such as the unfair treatment of employees, wage inequality, and pressure to comply with West’s hard demands. He also claimed that Kanye belittled black workers by frequently screaming at them while white workers were treated differently.
Benjamin also received a lower salary after Provo’s direct manager, John Hicks told him not to discuss it with West which led to an increase in wage gaps between employees.
According to Provo, both John Hicks and Kanye West pressured him into shaving his head as Ye became even more aggressive towards him with time, and after refusing, he was dismissed.
The lawsuit also includes Provo claiming that Kanye wanted to build jails in schools where children would be kept in cages.
