Drake pays off random fan’s $160k debt!
In his recent Kansas City concert, Canadian rapper Drake took the internet by storm after paying off a $160,000 mortgage of a random fan’s deceased mother after receiving a note from them.
The Candian rapper made headlines after promising to pay off the debt and said through the microphone at the T-Mobile Center:
“You said, ‘Pay off my mom’s house, rest in peace.’ Your mom passed away? Alright. And you owe… Oh, this is the outstanding balance right here. This is a lot of money right here. But you know what, I’m going to pay off your momma’s house for you.”

He later added, “Imma pay out of my pocket. That’s gonna come from me. Rest in peace to your momma. Hold on, wait. Rest in peace to Jennifer Schumer. Rest in peace. I love you”. as he referred to the $160,000 as “160 bands”.
Drake is no stranger to making kind gestures like this because according to Sports Keeda, he promised to donate $25,000 and $125,000 to fans fighting cancer. Many users took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to voice their opinions on Drake’s kind gesture as the star received many compliments across platforms such as:
“Drake is a real one for that, respect”.
“This dude is a good man”.
“It’s incredibly kind. It shows generosity and care for others’ struggles”.
“Kindness is the greatest of gifts. What a heart. Love him”.
Despite all the positive comments the Canadian rapper received, the fan had several users judging them for attending the concert in question and being in debt for that much as they said:
“If they owe so much money what are they doing buying tickets to a Drake concert?”
