‘Don’t drink and drive. GTA 6 comes out in a month’: New billboards go viral

New billboards recently flooded Miami’s highways, warning drivers not to drink and drive ahead of GTA 6’s Nov. 19 release. It’s still unclear who’s behind the clever promotional campaign.
The signs read, “Don’t drink and drive. GTA 6 comes out in a month.” The digital highway signs went viral on social media after Reddit user ‘itsOnlyMarvin’ shared a photo of one. Many users said that while the signs are promotional, they will have an overall positive impact regarding DUI and road safety.
Speculation circulated on social media about which party started the campaign, throwing Rockstar Games and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) into the mix. However, neither party claimed responsibility.

People and businesses are doing all kinds of things in anticipation of GTA 6. A popular UK gym chain launched a new thumb workout to help players prepare for the countless hours and all-nighters they will spend in-game.
Reports say the release of GTA 6 could lead to many sick days and vacations worldwide. An economist claimed that around 1.5 million Americans could skip work for the game on Nov. 19, costing the US economy $1 billion, while publisher Take-Two is expected to profit the same amount, though not directly. However, economist José García Montalvo said that this is an academic estimate, not an official announcement.
The game is expected to hit PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on Nov. 19, with no PC release announced yet. It will be set in the fictional state of Leonida and the iconic Vice City. Players can pre-load GTA 6 on Nov. 12.
