Did the Uzumaki anime redeem itself in episode 3?
With a visible downgrade in episode two due to production and time constraints, the Uzumaki anime seems to have redeemed itself among fans of the beloved Junji Ito manga due to a rise in quality in episode three.
Take in mind that it still doesn’t come close to the first episode in terms of sheer quality and visuals but it’s still better than what episode two had to offer. In terms of sound design, episode three had a menacing soundtrack and excellent voice acting across the board.
Did the Uzumaki anime redeem itself in episode 3?
Social media users took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and expressed their surprise with episode three. Here’s what they had to say:
“Episode 3 was phenomenal, they redeemed themselves for Episode 2. Insane Work.”
Another added, “You know what? The third episode of Uzumaki was much better than the second. The animation wasn’t as good as the first though, but it was still pretty damn good imo. My hopes have gone up again and I hope the finale ends with a bang”.
On the other hand, some deemed the four-episode anime, “Stupidly fast-paced” for zooming through the original material while not taking the time to build a coherent storyline and setting.
In episode two, Uzuamki fans found out that the anime received a studio change after the credits rolled in. Moreover, it didn’t take long for one of the executive producers to reveal why it dropped in quality.
He claimed that they were “Screwed over” in production and were given three options including not finishing the episode and calling it a loss, leaving the anime incomplete with just one episode, or airing it all with its problems.
