Dani Alves pays $1 million, to leave jail after rape conviction
A Spanish court revealed on Monday that Ex-Brazilian football player Dani Alves is now able to leave jail after he paid his one million euros bail ($1,081 million) and can leave jail pending his appeal.
Dani Alves was convicted of rape in Spain in February, however, the court gave him the right to leave jail on bail of one million euros.
A court revealed: “We hereby inform you that the deposit of Daniel Alves’ bail has been registered in the accounts of the 21st section of the Barcelona Court.”
Later in December, Alves was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub, allegations which he then denied, only to be moved to trial and later be found guilty and convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to four years and six months in jail.
