Canadian singer sets himself on fire for music video

Canadian singer Quincy Isaiah recently went viral on social media after refusing to hire a visual effects artist and setting himself on fire to promote an upcoming music video. The video, which was reposted on Musk’s X (formerly Twitter), garnered more than six million views and sparked widespread debate.

Several social media users criticized Isaiah for putting himself in danger for clicks and creating a possibility of this stunt turning into a TikTok trend. On the contrary, many expressed how if the Canadian singer didn’t set himself on fire for views, they likely would’ve passed on to another video.

A social media user jokingly wrote, “Let him cook, no seriously.”

Another added, “Could have been ‘smarter’ and had someone else stand by with a fire extinguisher…..like real pros do it lol.”
