Assalamu Alaikum! Will Smith and Ronaldo send messages after Morocco earthquake (video)

 American actor Will Smith has sent a message to his fans to help Morocco, which was hit by a devastating earthquake that caused thousands of deaths and injuries.

Will Smith urges people to donate to Morocco

Next to Belgian-Moroccan directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Will Smith started his video with the Islamic greeting: “Assalamu Alaikum” ( translated to: Peace be upon you).

Then the American actor introduced himself and said: “Hi, I’m Will.”

He added: “I’m sure you’ve all heard about the tragic earthquake in Morocco and Adil and Bilall are actually from Morocco, and they still have family on the ground and they’ve been getting my up to speed on the difficulties that the people of Morocco are experiencing so we would like to take this opportunity to ask for your help.”

Then Belgian-Moroccan director Adil El Arbi added: “So they are really in desperate need of food, medicine, water, and also for shelter and reconstruction especially in the very remote area that have been hit the hardest.”

Bilall Fallah added: “Yes, you can really help and donate on the link below, so please do it,” with Adil adding: “Any help can really make a huge difference.”

Then the trio ended their video by saying ‘Thank You’ in Arabic: “Shokran!”

Cristiano Ronaldo shares a message to Moroccans on Instagram

Dozens of Arab and international stars, as well as football players, had called for Morocco’s help, including Cristiano Ronaldo, who sent his deepest condolences to the people of Morocco via a story he shared with his 605 million followers on Instagram.

Ronaldo wrote: “My deepest condolences to the families and friends of all those who have lost their lives in the earthquake that in Morocco. Sending love and prayers to all in Morocco at this very difficult time.”

Morocco earthquake had a magnitude of 6.8 killing at least 2,946 people and leaving 5,674 injured, according to the latest official figures.
