Angela White opens up about her family’s reaction to her adult film career

Porn star Angela White, one of the most well-known figures in the adult film industry, has disclosed how her parents responded to her decision to pursue an X-rated career.
The 39-year-old Australian content creator began working in the adult film industry at the age of 18, and since then, their career has been incredibly successful.
She has earned the nickname “the Meryl Streep of porn” due to her longevity in a field that prioritizes youth and appearance, and she has won three AVN Female Performer of the Year awards in the last 20 years.

Being ‘Australia’s most well-known adult performer’ does have some disadvantages, though, since Angela must tell her family about her job decision because of her prominent position in the field.
The adult actress responded in an interview with 7News, saying that while her family “never rejected” her, her mother initially had doubts about her career choice.
She said that she was especially concerned about the “stereotypes” associated with the profession. “My family never shunned or rejected me, but my mum was particularly worried when I told her,” she said.
According to her, “[It was] tough for them at the start.”
Remarkably, Angela’s father responded to her work with far more composure. “When I told him, he didn’t really have much of a reaction,” she said.

“Maybe he had an inkling that it was what I was going to do, or maybe he knew he wouldn’t be able to stop me anyway if he had reacted negatively.”
Given that she has worked as an actor and director for X-rated films over the years, Angela’s decision to fully commit to the adult film industry has undoubtedly paid off handsomely.
In recent years, the actress has also chosen to work on the streaming service OnlyFans, rising to the position of one of the top 0.01 percent of creators on the platform.
Angela expressed her thoughts on the streaming service, stating that she believes it has enhanced the industry by empowering performers to become their own bosses.
“And it’s definitely changed the entire porn industry because it’s empowered performers to be their own boss,” she said in an interview with Life Uncut Music.
“Every performer is now a content creator, so they’re owning their own content, which they can use later on down the track for passive income.”
