Diddy faces new prison trouble after lifestyle report

Sean Diddy Combs’ life behind bars is facing fresh scrutiny after a new report described an unusually comfortable lifestyle inside the federal prison where he is serving his sentence.
The allegations emerged in an NBC News investigation based on interviews with four men who spent time in the same unit as Diddy at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. The report claims the music mogul has been spending thousands of dollars a month to have other inmates perform services for him, including cooking, cleaning, laundry and even massages.
The report has now been followed by news that Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement, also known as a Special Housing Unit, at the prison.
What Is Diddy Allegedly Doing Behind Bars?
According to the inmates interviewed by NBC News, Combs has developed what they described as a privileged routine.
Some inmates allegedly clean his living area, including his toilet and shower, while others prepare special meals. The meals reportedly include curry chicken, pizza and empanadas. Other prisoners allegedly make his bed, handle his laundry and provide massages.
The money for these services was reportedly sent from people outside the prison to the commissary accounts of inmates who performed the work.
NBC News also reported that it reviewed photographs and videos taken inside the facility. Some footage allegedly shows Diddy using a cellphone, which is prohibited inside federal prisons. Sources claimed the phone allowed him to access Instagram and view sexually explicit images.
Other inmates alleged that Combs had access to a modified tablet and used it to watch movies and documentaries, including the Netflix series Sean Combs: The Reckoning, produced by his longtime rival 50 Cent.
There were also allegations that he obtained alcohol and the antidepressant Remeron through the prison’s underground market.
The Bureau of Prisons has not confirmed that Diddy personally engaged in these activities. Officials said they do not comment on the conditions of individual inmates but acknowledged that contraband, including cellphones, narcotics and weapons, remains a continuing problem in federal facilities.
Diddy’s Team Pushes Back
Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, rejected the way the reports have been portrayed.
His representative said Diddy continues to serve his sentence and is awaiting the outcome of his appeal, while questioning how private recordings and information from inside a federal prison are reaching the public.
The response comes as Combs’ legal team continues to challenge his conviction.
In July 2025, Diddy was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. He was later sentenced to 50 months in federal prison.
Why Was He Put in Solitary?
The latest development is particularly significant because reports say Combs has now been placed in solitary confinement.
This is reportedly not his first time in the Special Housing Unit. He previously spent time there in July following a fight with another inmate. He was later released from isolation, after which sources said that he returned to the lifestyle described in its investigation.
It is not clear exactly which alleged conduct led to his latest placement. The Bureau of Prisons has not publicly confirmed the specific reason for the reported confinement.
When Will Diddy Be Released?
Despite the renewed controversy surrounding his prison life, Diddy is still serving his sentence.
His projected release date has been moved forward several times. According to the latest reports citing Bureau of Prisons records, he is currently scheduled to be released on January 21, 2028.
That date could potentially change again depending on legal developments, sentence calculations or other decisions.
For now, the biggest development is not that Combs is getting out of prison early, but that his reported treatment inside Fort Dix has triggered another investigation and reportedly resulted in his return to solitary confinement.
The allegations remain just that — allegations from sources interviewed — while prison authorities have declined to confirm the specific claims. What happens next could depend on whether officials determine that Diddy or other inmates violated federal prison rules.
