Netflix drops One Piece Season 2 trailer, Season 3 confirmed

One Piece fans are eating well today! Netflix unveiled the first look at the second season of its live-action adaptation, sharing a sneak peek of what’s to come, including new characters in action, and a new arc.
The reveal came during the One Piece annual celebration in Tokyo, Japan, showcasing new characters, most notably Captain Smoker, Robin, Brogy, Miss Wednesday, and Miss All Sunday. The teaser also came with a surprise, confirming that a third season is in the works.
Surprisingly, Chopper didn’t make an appearance during the trailer. However, he received a character teaser during Netflix’s most recent Tudum event.

According to Netflix, the third season is set to start production later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.
Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) are all returning to play their respective characters.
Titled “Into the Grand Line,” its official description states:
“Netflix’s epic high-seas pirate adventure, ‘One Piece,’ returns for Season 2—unleashing fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”
The live-action adaptation will cover iconic moments from Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling shonen manga, including the Arabasta Saga. The official release date remains unknown, but the second season is set to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
