MLB x Demon Slayer collaboration ad goes viral

An unusual collaboration between MLB (Major League Baseball) and the popular shonen anime Demon Slayer has gone viral across social media for its stunning visuals and production quality by Japan’s Ufotable.

The two-minute short film was created to celebrate the MLB Tokyo Series and heavily references the breathing technique powers present in the Demon Slayer anime, such as water, lightning, wind, and fire. Well-known Japanese players such as Shohei Ohtani and Shota Imanaga are also present in the short film.

It also features two MLB teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs, which will clash at the Tokyo Dome on March 18 and 19, 2025. Japan’s Hanshin Tigers and the Yomiuri Giants are going against each other on March 15 and 16 as well.
