Lil Wayne 90s lyrics book on sale for $5M

Iconic American rapper Lil Wayne made headlines after an announcement was made that his old lyrics book is up for sale after a year-long event of trying to decide ownership ended. 

The lyrics notebook is up for grabs for the hefty price tag of $5 million, which quadrupled in value since it was first put up for $250,000 five years ago.

TMZ contacted Moments in Time, which is the company responsible for selling Lil Wayne’s old notebook. Moreover, the company added that Lil Wayne is considered one of the “greatest rappers ever” and his lyrics from the 90s are “incredibly valuable.”

Moments in Time justified the reason for its hefty price tag since the notebook has a problematic history behind it. Back in 2019, the company put up Lil Wayne’s book for sale after a man claimed that he found it in a car owned by Cash Money Records.

Cash Money Records is known to have signed up many popular rappers including, Birdman, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Mannie Fresh.

The American rapper clapped back and demanded his book back. Moreover, his legal team accused the man in question who claimed to have found the book himself of lying and waiting for the right moment to profit from it.

The American rapper said in 2019, “I Want My Lyrics Notebook Back… It’s Not Yours to Sell!!” After the guy said that Wayne should buy it for $250,000 like everyone else.

Now, Wayne is threatening to take legal action against Moments in Time and CEO Gary Zimet if the company doesn’t end the listing in question.
