Couple executed after murders his kids by throwing them off 15th-floor in China

A couple, Zhang Bo and his girlfriend Ye Chengchen, were executed for the brutal murder of Zhang’s two children from a previous marriage.

The heinous crime was committed in 2020 when Zhang was convicted of throwing his two children, a two-year-old girl and a one-year-old boy, out of a high-rise apartment window on the 15th floor of a residential tower in southwest China’s Chongqing.

The couple faced legal consequences, receiving the death sentence in 2021. However, the execution was carried out only recently after a prolonged appeals process that led to a second trial for Zhang and Ye. Despite the appeals, the Chongqing High People’s Court upheld the original ruling, asserting that the death sentences were appropriate for the gravity of the crime.
