In video shark devours woman’s arm in Egypt
In a recent and alarming incident, a shark attacked and severely injured an Egyptian woman on one of Dahab’s picturesque beaches, located in the South Sinai region along the Red Sea.
Authorities in Egypt swiftly responded to a distressing report that a 34-year-old Egyptian woman had fallen victim to a shark while enjoying a day at Dahab’s tranquil beach.
The immediate aftermath saw her rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical examinations revealed the gruesome extent of the attack – the shark had entirely severed her left arm. The medical report on the condition of the victim, who had endured a horrifying shark assault, painted a grim picture.
It confirmed that the unfortunate woman had suffered a complete amputation of her left arm as a result of the shark’s vicious attack.
Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Egypt’s Minister of Environment, took decisive action. She ordered the immediate closure of the beach where the attack had occurred and set in motion the formation of an urgent committee
This committee’s primary mission is to comprehensively assess the situation and uncover the underlying factors contributing to this shocking shark attack.
Dr. Fouad emphasized that the decision to close the beach was made in close collaboration with the South Sinai Governorate, underlining the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety.
It is worth noting that the injured woman’s condition, despite the severity of the attack, has been reported as stable by medical authorities. She has received all necessary immediate medical care, with her health status being vigilantly monitored.
Following this earlier incident, Egyptian authorities successfully captured the offending shark in an area near Dream Beach.
According to available information, the shark had targeted a group of tourists, tragically consuming the Russian visitor and severing his body into two halves, with only one portion of the body being recovered.
