Rare costume party planned in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia expects to have the biggest colorful costume festival ever to be held in the Arab Kingdom.

The announcement, which drew the attention of many on social media, was made by Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA).

The event,  slated for Feb. 9-10 in the Boulevard City in the Saudi capital Riyadh, is expected to be a colorful fancy dress party designed to bring joy to people, especially young Saudis.

The GEA called on people interested to participate in the festival to wear masquerades to be allowed a free entry.
