Famous YouTuber and content creator Frankie Lapenna recently made history after stepping into the ring with a Terminator-inspired robot for a “Real Steel”-style fight. 

Lapenna shared the viral fight across several platforms, garnering millions of views. The video sparked debate on social media about whether humans should teach AI, citing concerns over extinction. A social media user wrote on YouTube, “We’re speedrunning our extinction at this point.”

Another added, “Ppl in the crowds faces as they realize what we have done.”

“All fun and games when you realize it doesn’t feel pain or get tired.”

The fight was first broadcast on REK, a live combat sports league based in San Francisco, where human-controlled robots go head-to-head in a “Real Steel”-style fight.

Lapenna stepped into the ring wearing a protective vest and helmet. However, that did not stop the red-eyed, six-foot robot from injuring the YouTuber, since the video captured him taking several painful blows to his body.

REK took to X and wrote, “We just made history with the first Human VS Terminator robot fight. Frankie LaPenna gave it his all. More fight footage coming soon!”

Previously, a humanoid robot went viral after a clip captured it behaving aggressively when a human customer pushed it. The viral clip showed the robot activating “combat mode” and attempting to kick the human as payback before employees switched it off.
