Wiz Khalifa charged with illegal drug possession in Romania festival

American rapper and songwriter Wiz Khalifa made headlines after being charged with illegal drug possession while on stage at a seaside festival in Romania on Sunday. 

Khalifa allegedly consumed cannabis (Marijuana) which is considered a “risk drug” in Romania unlike other countries in the world including the Netherlands, Some states in the US, and more.

He was performing at the “Beach, Please!” festival in the village of Costinesti which is located in the country’s seaside area. Videos circulating across social media showed Wiz Khalifa being taken away by Romanian authorities due to illegal drug possession.

Moreover, despite being charged with the crime, Khalifa was later released.

Wiz Khalifa is known for openly smoking weed during his concerts and day. Additionally, he also makes references to cannabis in his songs including “Young, Wild & Free” and “Love To Smoke.”
