What is inside Pokemon’s Pokeball?

People have been speculating on what’s inside a Pokeball since the debut of Pokemon Red and Green in 1996 making it one of the biggest mysteries in the Pokemon universe.

What if we told you that Nintendo has officially revealed what the inside of a Pokeball actually looks like in their newest anime, Pokémon Horizons: The Series?

What is inside a Pokemon’s Pokeball?

Many of us have speculated that the inside of a Pokeball is cramped or a void of white space making it cruel for a Pokemon to spend time in, only to be called out for battle.

Others believed it was a spacious and furnished round area where they could sit and relax while having a beverage.

A short clip was posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) of a promo short showcasing a Quaxly having the time of their life inside a cut-in-half luxury Pokeball by having refreshing beverages and sitting on a comfortable sofa under a disco ball.

This leaves us with one question, are all Pokeballs as comfortable as the luxury variant or are they as cramped and uncomfortable as mentioned above?

According to IGN, It’s also possible that a luxury ball caters differently to different types of Pokemon.

At the time of writing this article, Horizons is currently only airing in Japan on a weekly basis with no official release internationally but is expected to be released on Netflix in the future.
