Video: Shark appears near Hurghada Egypt
A footage circulating on social media in Egypt allegedly shows sharks swimming close to the shores of Hurghada and El Gouna. One of the sharks was identified as a “Mako” shark, which is known for its aggressive behavior towards humans.
The dissemination of the video clip by various media outlets triggered considerable alarm among users of social media platforms. Upon noticing the footage, divers and maritime workers in Egypt recorded the presence of a “Mako” shark near the El Gouna area, north of Hurghada.
Given the shark’s reputation for posing a threat to humans, the video further heightened concerns on social media platforms.
Consequently, the “Red Sea Reserves” issued essential guidelines for both citizens and divers in response to the situation.
