Unraveling love: Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher’s sudden split after 14 years

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher are going their separate ways after 14 years of marriage.
Before announcing their split, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher spoke with divorce lawyers several years ago.

After Cohen, 52, and Fisher, 48, announced the end of their 14-year marriage, the Borat actor “had been talking to divorce lawyers in the summer of 2023.” And that wasn’t the first time the couple had considered splitting up; they had previously contacted divorce lawyers.

On April 5, Cohen and Fisher announced their divorce publicly through simultaneous Instagram Stories posts. “After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” the couple wrote before addressing their joint divorce petition. “We have always prioritised our privacy and have been working discreetly through this transition. “We will always share our devotion and love for our children.”

The couple met at a party in Australia in 2001 and married in Paris in 2010. They have three children: two daughters and one son, the youngest of whom was born in 2015. The family has maintained their privacy, with their children seldom appearing in public.

Both Baron Cohen and Fisher are well-known international actors. Baron Cohen’s popularity has come from comedies like Borat and Brüno, while Fisher’s most recognized films include Wedding Crashers and Confessions of a Shopaholic.
