Syria’s al-Sharaa, other world leaders to speak at Saudi Arabia’s FII

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa will be among the speakers at next week’s Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh.

Other heads of state and senior business executives and leaders will also participate and speak at Saudi Arabia’s flagship conference for investors worldwide.

Richard Attias, chair of the FII Institute’s Executive Committee, spoke to reporters in Riyadh on Monday about the upcoming conference in its ninth edition. It will take place in Riyadh from Oct. 27-30.

Attias said the conference will serve “as a global platform to identify actionable solutions and forge new partnerships between governments and the private sector by gathering the world’s foremost leaders, investors, innovators, and policymakers,”.

Other senior officials to speak will include, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Public Investment Fund (PIF) Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, Special Russian Presidential Envoy Kirill Dmitriev, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves, and Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
