Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp rebuked for mocking Palestinians
Star of ‘Stranger Things’ series Noah Schnapp is under heavy backlash after he liked a post on social media that mocks Palestinians and the Gaza war.
The American actor, who became famous for playing Will Byers in the Netflix science fiction horror series ‘Stranger Things’, is blasted by fans who accused him of underestimating the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza.
An Instagram video about a comedy show that made fun of pro-LGBTQ+ people and mocked Palestinians including Abu Obaida, the spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
Noah Schnapp, 19, has placed a like on the video triggering a heavy backlash campaign against the American actor.
An X user posted: “Noah Schnapp likes a video mocking Muslims and victims in Gaza.”
Some activists also called to stop watching the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’. A person said: “Boycott ‘Stranger Things’ season five when it comes out so that they don’t get a lot of money. One of the Duffer brothers signed the letter in support of Israel and so did Shaun Levy. Brett Gelman is a crazy zionist and so is Noah Schnapp. they’re all disgusting pieces of shit.”
