Spy×Family – Season 2 opening is here!

Toho Animation published on YouTube the official third opening for one of the most anticipated anime of the fall season, Spy×Family on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023.

Spy×Family’s third opening featured the song “Kurakura” by Ado and was directed by the talented Masaaki Yuasa who’s behind the stunning Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! anime opening.

Masaaki Yuasa’s unique style in both art and animation was visible from the beginning with the Forger family’s foreshortening walking sequence and the addition of comic book elements.

Previous openings included ‘Mixed Nuts’ performed by Official HIGE DANdism and our favorite, SOUVENIR by the one and only, BUMP OF CHICKEN.

WIT Studio and Cloverworks

Spy×Family will hit streaming platforms on Oct. 7, 2023, and will be animated and produced in a collaboration between WIT Studio and Cloverworks like the previous season.

Synopsis:

Spy×Family tells the story of a master spy called Twilight who disguises himself as a psychiatrist called Loid Forger to fulfill his mission of investigating the corrupt politician Donovan Desmond.

To disguise himself fully, he is ordered by his organization to adopt a fake family of a child and wife.

Not knowing much, he ends up adopting a psychic child called Anya and an assassin called Yor as his wife.
