South Korean Police summon Japanese woman accused of kissing BTS member Jin without his consent

South Korean police summon Japanese woman over alleged unwanted kiss on Jin ffrom BTS.

There are allegations that a Japanese woman kissed Jin, a member of the K-pop boy band BTS, without his permission at an event that took place a year ago. The South Korean police have decided to question the Japanese woman because of these allegations.

A police official who is in charge of the investigation at the Songpa police station in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, said over the phone on Friday that the woman was being called to attend for questioning on a sexual harassment accusation “now that we have specified the suspect.”

The official stated that the police initiated the investigation after receiving a complaint online. He did not disclose the woman’s name, citing privacy rules as the reason. He also stated that he was unable to share any other information while the inquiry was still ongoing.

The incident took place in June of last year, when Jin, who was 32 years old at the time, was celebrating the completion of his necessary 18-month military service as well as the band’s 11-year anniversary. He was doing so by giving away free hugs to fans at an event in Seoul that was reportedly attended by approximately one thousand people.

It was claimed by the Yonhap news agency that a woman in her 50s unexpectedly kissed Jin on the cheek while the ceremony was already in progress. The widely distributed video footage on the internet showed the BTS member in an awkward position.

“My lips made contact with his neck. Yonhap reported that the woman later posted a blog post expressing her admiration for her husband’s exceptionally kind skin.

It was reported by Yonhap that the woman had been identified with the assistance of the Japanese police and that she had, up until this point, refused to meet with authorities for questioning.

BTS, a seven-member supergroup, made their debut in 2013, and since then, they have risen to immense fame all over the world. The “BTS Army” is the name given to its supporters.

Jin was the first member of BTS to be dismissed from military duty. The group received permission to postpone their conscription until they turned thirty. Another member, J-Hope, finished his service in October, and the five members who are currently serving are V, RM, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga. J-Hope was the only member who finished his service.

It is not yet known when the band will get back together for their much-anticipated reunion.
