Saudi FM discusses Gaza, West Bank situations with Palestinian premier

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa where they discussed the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
Prince Faisal met Mustafa in Riyadh on the sidelines of his visit to the Kingdom to participate in the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII).
Prince Faisal and Mustafa “stressed the importance of continuing all efforts to ensure the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights to ensure the establishment of their independent state and achieves security and stability in the region,” the Saudi foreign ministry said in a statement on X.
The discussion between the officials also focused on the outcomes of recent events and summits like the Two-State Solution Summit that was co-chaired between France and Saudi Arabia and the Gaza peace proposal put forward by US President Donald Trump.
“They further addressed the joint international efforts to ensure the coordination of diplomatic, humanitarian, and institutional tracks. Both sides also emphasized the importance of empowering the Palestinian Authority and supporting its budget,” the ministry said. “They underscored the need to deliver humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip in accordance with humanitarian principles.”
